Meet the Smiles by Pocock Team!
I have the most phenomenal team members! Some of them have been with me more than 25 years. They are exceptionally competent in their individual areas of expertise. Just as, or possibly more, important, they all have great personalities: we all like to have a lot of fun with our clients and each other, so it can get a little noisy at times!
My team members are all caring and dedicated to making every client’s experience with us a wonderful one. They help me stay on time and get everything done to an exacting standard, without making clients feel rushed through their visits. And they do it with a smile!

Ortho CDA and Accounting
I enjoy working with our patients and seeing how each person becomes more confident and outgoing as they achieve a great smile. I’ve been part of Smiles by Pocock since 1997 and wear two hats at the office: in addition to being a certified dental assistant and providing chairside care, I also handle financials for the practice.
I enjoy getting to know our patients and their families. It’s incredible to watch people transform along with their smiles! I joined Smiles by Pocock in 1999, took a ten-year hiatus, and am now back. As a receptionist I meet, greet, and check in patients, coordinate appointments, field scheduling inquiries, and keep the day flowing.
I have other responsibilities outside of the practice: I own a gift store, am a hair dresser, and enjoy silversmithing, too. I like to hike, especially with my dog Bear, who’s a Newfie/Golden mix, and also enjoy cooking and music.
I like being able to help patients improve their smiles and seeing our younger patients grow up with strong self-esteem. I joined Smiles by Pocock in 2017, having started in the field in 2008. Working in the clinic, I take photos and X-rays, place braces, and provide oral hygiene instructions.
Outside of work, I love hot yoga, riding my bike during the summer with my hubby, and hiking, especially Quarry Rock and the Grind at least once a year. At home, I love reading with a nice cup of cocoa on a rainy day, and I love cooking and baking and new trying new recipes, too.
New Patient Coordinator
I enjoy customer service and making sure our patients have the best experience with our practice. Smiles by Pocock has been my professional home since 2008 and I appreciate being part of a great office. I welcome new patients and get them set up for treatment. I also handle administrative work, our marketing and promotions, and social media outreach.
My free time is spent with my young son, Declan, and our older dog, Maggie. I love watching movies and seeing my son grow.
I love working with all our wonderful patients and families, and being part of an amazing team with great coworkers. I’ve been with Smiles by Pocock since 2001 and handle a range of tasks. In addition to working directly with patients, I manage dental records, help with office contests, maintain the dental equipment, and assist Dr. Pocock with special projects.
In addition to being a crazy cat lady with three felines, and a Karaoke Queen, I’m the proud mother of an adult son. I have completed training at Vancouver Community College and earned certification with the provincial instructor diploma. I’m also a certified hypnotherapist and a Reiki master.
Treatment Coordinator and Ortho CDA
I like meeting and learning from all of our patients. It’s rewarding to watch the transformation of each person’s smile and their personality. I started working in the field in 1990 and was welcomed to Smiles by Pocock in 1993. I meet with and introduce patients and families to the orthodontic world, as well as handle some front-end and clinic duties.
Outside of work, I love staying fit and healthy, and treasure time with my two daughters.
I am happy to spend my day with wonderful people: my coworkers and our patients and their families! I have been with Smiles by Pocock since 2005 and am glad to work in a positive, fun environment. I provide patient care and track and order our clinical supplies.
Some of my favorite interests outside of work include traveling, biking, and hiking.
I really like getting to know our patients as people and watching them grow as we make their smiles beautiful. I joined Smiles by Pocock in 2006, having worked in the field for 11 years. My days are spent in the clinic: providing patient care and chairside assistance during the braces process.
I have three boys who have all had treatment with Dr. Pocock and now have great smiles. I also have a Whoodle, named Iko, whom I love taking on hikes into the mountains and on the seawall. I also love yoga, bike riding, photography, being artsy, and live music.
I like meeting patients as they start their orthodontic journey and following their progress until they’re finished and leave with a great smile! I have worked in oral healthcare since 1999 and joined Smiles by Pocock in 2013. As a treatment coordinator, I get patients started on their journey to a beautiful smile.
I have an adult daughter, a loving hubby, and an active social life beyond the office.
I treasure our patients, their families, and building connections with all of them. I have been with Smiles by Pocock forever: I was a registered nurse when I met and married Dr. Pocock and have built the practice with him. I welcome patients, check them in, update records, and schedule future visits, too.
Dr. Pocock and I have been married for 40 years. We have two grown children and love having pets and horses. I spend much of my free time at our family horse farm.
I enjoy working with my hands, knowing the appliances I create help our patients achieve and keep great smiles. I officially started working at Smiles by Pocock in 2008, after growing up around the practice as Dr. Pocock’s son. I spend my time in our onsite lab: carefully designing and fabricating orthodontic appliances and retainers.
My free time is spent with my long-term girlfriend. I love animals and hanging out with family.
