Aria’s Dreams Take Him to Barcelona

Aria Shokoohi tells us this story..

“From a very young age, I’ve been playing soccer. A sport which I call the BEST - mostly because it is known all over the world. A sport that takes a whole lot of talent to become pro and a sport that makes dreams come true. My dream ever since I was 5 was to one day go to Barcelona to watch a game but I always thought that it will never happen because my parents won’t let me. I never believed growing up that I would become a good soccer player either. Mostly because I lived in Canada, where soccer is not as popular and secondly I only played on a silver team. When I was 9 years old I made it to the gold team and later on when I became 13 I made it to the metro soccer league which is one of the best leagues. Just a year later, I qualified for the HPL league which was the highest performance league of all and still to this very day I love playing soccer. My dreams of going to Barcelona also came true this past summer when me and my dad went there and saw the almighty Lionel Messi play!  (and he got 2 amazing goals too - no surprise). All of this has taught me to never give up on your dreams even when people around you don’t believe in them.”
